The SD90/43MAC is externally identical to the SD80MAC but the 90MAC has the upgradable engine.  This engine was originally supposed to have a 6,000 horsepower engine, but technical problems arose.  This resulted in the first orders being downgraded to received 4,300 horsepower engines.
